The Knowledge Café was held at Police Headquarters on March 26, looking into the topic of "A Holistic Approach to Handle Land Disputes - Yuen Long Experience". Four experienced officers from Yuen Long District, Chief Superintendent (CSP) Tang Ping-keung, Superintendent Wong Yiu-ming, Chief Inspector (CIP) Chan Chiu-chin, and Senior Inspector (SIP) Man Yu-ching from Crime New Territories North (NTN) met with a full house of over 120 officers at various ranks and explained the holistic approach to handle land disputes and land resumption cases. Following a warm welcome by the facilitator of the event, Senior Superintendent Cheng Tak-ming, who is the Force Knowledge Management Champion, CSP Tang illustrated with the use of vivid examples the points to note in handling land disputes and land resumption cases, including detailed operation planning, proper scene-handling, evidence gathering and documentation, adoption of a multi-agency approach, and engagement of the media. SIP Man also introduced the gist of the "NTN Regional Guideline on Investigation of Land Dispute-related Crime Cases". The event concluded following a series of experience sharing between the speakers and the participants, giving the participants a lot of inspiration. ![]() |
