The Good Citizen Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 will be held on 2026-03-14 (Saturday) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, to commend 80 exemplary citizens who stepped forward at critical moments over the past year to assist the Hong Kong Police Force in preventing and detecting crimes and safeguarding lives.
In addition, six organisations will receive the “Good Organisation Award” in recognition of their active partnership with the Police in promoting community participation in crime prevention and fighting crime. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Hong Kong Police Force Facebook page, Douyin, TVB Jade Channel, and RTHK TV 31.
The officiating guests of honour include Mr Joe CHOW Yat-ming, Commissioner of Police, Ms Cecilia HO Chung-chi, member of the Fight Crime Committee, and Dr Jonathan CHOI Koon-shum, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce. Mr Albert AU and Ms Toby CHAN will be the emcees of the ceremony. A line-up of celebratory performances including music group ‘Hey Brother’ will perform, while Mr Pal SINN will head fellow musicians in a collaborative performance with the Police Band. Singer Mr Aska CHEUNG will also lead a children’s choir to present an inspiring song that embodies the spirit of “Good Citizenship” and the message of “Fight Crime Together.”
With the theme “Good Citizen • A Flash Moment • Be United”, this year’s ceremony highlights how acts of bravery arise from a single moment of decision — one instant of calmness may prevent a crime, one instant of alertness may subdue a criminal, one instant of activeness may uphold justice, and one instant of wisdom may save a life.
To deepen the public’s understanding of the experiences and emotions behind these inspiring deeds, the Hong Kong Police Force has produced a special feature series with the participation of the awardees as main actors, titled “A Flash Moment of Good Citizen”. The series showcases four signature award-winning cases and will premiere during the ceremony. It will also be available later on the Hong Kong Police Force Facebook page and YouTube channel.
