Appeal for information on abandoned boys (with photos)

Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby boy and a boy who were found abandoned in Yuen Long on December 28 and 31, 2005 respectively.

At about 2 pm on December 28, a 33-year-old woman found a baby boy placed outside Yuen Long (West) Integrated Family Service Centre on Castle Peak Road. A report was then made to Police by the staff of Social Welfare Department.

The baby boy, who is about two months old, is about four kilograms in weight and about 28 centimetres in height. He was wearing a pink coat, suspender pants in brown colour and a piece of blue braces.

Meanwhile, at about 1.30 am on December 31, a boy was found sitting alone inside a playground at Yuen Long Pau Cheung Square by a security guard. A report was then made to Police.

Aged about seven, the boy stands about 1.3 metres, thin build, with skinny hair and is unable to speak.

When he was found, he was wearing a brown coat, blue and red sweater, brown trousers, and black and white sports shoes.

Police urged relatives of the baby boy and the boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers of the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit, Yuen Long on 2473 8254 or the Duty Officer of Yuen Long Police Station on 2473 8200.
