Special traffic arrangements for parade in Wong Tai Sin

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of a festive parade in Wong Tai Sin tomorrow (January 7).

The special traffic arrangements to be implemented between 9 am and 2 pm are as follows:

A. Traffic control

(a) Vehicles on westbound King Fuk Street, except those heading for private carparks for parking, will not be permitted to proceed across the junction between King Fuk Street and Shung Ling Street along King Fuk Street, and have to turn right to Shung Ling Street at the junction; and

(b) Southbound vehicular traffic on Choi Hung Road might not be allowed to turn left to Ning Yuen Street intermittently depending on the actual traffic situation during the parade.

B. Lane closure

The nearside lane of the road/road sections below will be closed intermittently as necessary during the parade:

(a) Shung Ling Street from its junction with Ning Yuen Street to its junction with Tseuk Luk Street;

(b) The westbound carriageway of Tseuk Luk Street from its junction with Shung Ling Street to its junction with Choi Hung Road; and

(c) Tai Shing Street.

C. Suspension of parking spaces

All metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces in Ning Yuen Street and the section of King Fuk Street between Shung Ling Street and Ning Yuen Street will be temporarily suspended between 8 am and 2 pm.

D. Suspension of public light bus (PLB) and taxi stands

The PLB and taxi stands on Ning Yuen Street near Sau Ming Court will be temporarily suspended between 9 am and 2 pm.

Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
