Appeal for information on body found in Western District

Police today (January 14) appeal for information on a body found in the Western District earlier this month.

At about 7.30 am on January 3, Police received a report that a body was found drifting off the Western District Public Cargo Working Area.

Marine Police later picked up the male body. Initial examinations revealed that there was no suspicious element surrounding his death.

No identity document was found on the deceased.

The deceased was aged about 40. He was 1.57 metres tall and of thin build. He was wearing a blue denim jacket, a black jumper, a yellow long-sleeved T-shirt, a pair of light brown trousers with a black leather belt, a pair of black sports shoes with white rims, and a plastic wrist watch on his right hand when found.

Investigations by the Patrol Sub-unit of Marine Harbour are proceeding.
