Appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

olice today (January 16) appeal to members of the public to provide information on a serious traffic accident in Tsuen Wan in which a 22-year-old expatriate woman was seriously injured.

At 8.40pm yesterday (January 15), a 22-year-old woman alighted from a public light bus which stopped on the Kam Tin-bound carriageway of Route Twisk near the Cliveden. She then walked across Route Twisk along the pedestrian crossing to the Tsuen Wan-bound carriageway where she was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle.

The involved vehicle, which is a heavy goods vehicle or medium goods vehicle in white/blue colour, continued to move forward and fled after the accident.

Sustaining serious head and leg injuries, the woman was rushed to the Princess Magaret Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
