Appeal for information on body found case

Police today (January 26) appeal to the public for information on a body found case off Po Toi Islands in November 2005.

At 4.15 pm on November 15, 2005, Police received a report that a lower torso and a lower left arm were trawled up in fishing nets by a fishing vessel off south of Po Toi Islands. Marine Police later picked up the body parts nearby.

Initial examinations revealed that the body parts should be of a male of unknown nationality.

The deceased was wearing green plastic waterproof long trousers, dark blue tracksuit long trousers and light grey underpants when found.

Initial Police investigations revealed that there was no suspicious element surrounding his death.
