Appeal for information on suspected dog-slaughtering case

Police today (February 20) appeal to members of the public for information on a suspected dog slaughtering case in Tsing Yi.

In respect of this case, Police organised a joint operation with relevant government departments to conduct a raid at the hillside behind Cheung Hang Estate, Liu To Road, Tsing Yi on February 9.

During the operation, Police and relevant departments rescued eight dogs, a bird and a rabbit found in the illegally constructed cages at scene, which were taken into the custody of the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department. The site was subsequently cleaned by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

However, no suspect was found at scene and no witness came forward to give details of the suspected case to Police.
