Special traffic arrangements for parade in Kowloon City

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of a festive parade in Kowloon City on February 26 (Sunday).

The special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:

A. Road closure

The following road closure will be implemented in phases:

From 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm:

- The section of South Wall Road between Carpenter Road and Nga Tsin Wai Road; and
- The section of westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road between Tak Ku Ling Road and Junction Road.

From 2 pm to 4 pm:

- Forfar Road, except that access to resident carparks will be allowed.

From 2 pm to 4.30 pm:

- The section of southbound Fu Ning Street between Argyle Street and Shing Tak Street; and
- Westbound Shing Tak Street, but vehicles will be allowed to turn left from northbound Ma Tau Chung Road to northbound Ma Tau Kok Road for access to Ma Tau Wai Estate.

From 3 pm to 5 pm:

- The section of Tam Kung Road between Ma Tau Wai Road and San Shan Road.

From 3.15 pm to 6 pm:

- The section of westbound Tak Man Street between Ma Tau Wai Road and Hung Hom Road.

From 7 am to 8 pm:

- Shung King Street between Tak On Street and Tak Fung Street.

B. Closure of traffic lanes

The slow lane of the following roads will be closed in phases:

From 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm:

- The section of southbound Junction Road between Nga Tsin Wai Road and Prince Edward Road West.

From 2 pm to 4 pm:

- The section of westbound Prince Edward Road West between Junction Road and Forfar Road.

From 2 pm to 4.30 pm:

- The section of southbound Ma Tau Kok Road between Shing Tak Street and Ma Tau Chung Road.

From 3 pm to 5 pm:

- The section of southbound Ma Tau Chung Road between Ma Tau Kok Road and Ma Tau Wai Road; and
- The section of southbound Ma Tai Wai Road between Ma Tau Chung Road and Chi Kiang Street.

From 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm:

- The section of Chi Kiang Street between Ma Tau Wai Road and To Kwa Wan Road;
- The section of southbound To Kwa Wan Road between Chi Kiang Street and Ma Tau Wai Road; and
- The section of southbound Ma Tau Wai Road between To Kwa Wan Road and Bailey Street.

From 3.45 pm to 5.45 pm:

- The section of southbound Ma Tau Wai Road between Bailey Street and Tak Man Street.

C. Traffic diversions:

The following turning movements will be banned:

From 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm:

- Eastbound Carpenter Road is not allowed to turn right to South Wall Road;
- Westbound Carpenter Road is not allowed to turn left to South Wall Road;
- Eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road is not allowed to turn right to South Wall Road;
- Eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road is not allowed to turn right to Nam Kok Road;
- Eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road is not allowed to turn right to Fuk Lo Tsun Road;
- Northbound Lung Kong Road is not allowed to turn left to westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road;
- Northbound Hau Wong Road is not allowed to left turn to westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road;
- Southbound Nga Tsin Long Road is not allowed to turn right to westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road; and
- Southbound Lion Rock Road is not allowed to turn right to westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road.

From 2 pm to 4 pm:

- Eastbound Argyle Street is not allowed to turn left to Forfar Road. Motorists are advised to travel via eastbound Argyle Street, Kowloon City Roundabout and westbound Prince Road West.

From 2 pm to 4.30 pm:

- Westbound Argyle Street is not allowed to turn left to southbound Fu Ning Street. Motorists are advised to travel via westbound Argyle Street, southbound Tin Kwong Road, northbound Ma Tau Wai Road, northbound Ma Tau Chung Road and northbound Fu Ning Street.
- Eastbound Fuk Cheung Street is not allowed to turn right to southbound Fu Ning Street southbound. Affected motorist are advised to travel via northbound Fu Ning Street, westbound Argyle Street, southbound Tin Kwong Road and southbound Ma Tau Wai Road; and
- Northbound Fu Ning Street is not allowed to turn left to westbound Shing Tak Street. Motorists heading for Ma Tau Wai Estate are advised to travel via northbound Fu Ning Street, westbound Argyle Street, southbound Tin Kwong Road, northbound Ma Tau Wai Road, northbound Ma Tau Chung Road and northbound Ma Tau Kok Road.

From 3 pm to 5 pm:

- Southbound Ma Tau Wai Road is not allowed to turn left to northbound Tam Kung Road. Motorists are advised to travel via southbound Ma Tau Wai Road, northbound Pak Tai Street, northbound Ma Tau Kok Road and southbound Tam Kung Road.

From 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm:

- Chi Kiang Street is not allowed to turn left to Ha Heung Road. Motorists are advised to travel via Chi Kiang Street, northbound To Kwa Wan Road and Lok Shan Road. Access to carparks at Ha Heung Road will be allowed.

From 3.45 pm to 5.45 pm:

- Southbound Ma Tau Wai Road is not allowed to turn left to Station Lane.

From 3.15 pm to 6 pm:

- Southbound Man Tai Street is not allowed to turn right to westbound Tak Man Street;
- Southbound Hung Hom Road is not allowed to turn right to westbound Tak Man Street. Motorists are advised to travel via southbound Hung Hom Road, Hung Luen Road Roundabout, eastbound Hung Luen Road, northbound Hung Lok Road, eastbound Hung Lai Road and northbound Po Loi Street; and
- Northbound Hung Hom Road is not allowed to turn left to westbound Tak Man Street. Motorists are advised to travel via northbound Hung Hom Road, southbound Tai Wan Road, westbound Dyer Street, southbound Dock Street and southbound Po Loi Street.

D. Suspension of parking meters

The metered parking spaces on the following roads will be temporarily suspended between 10 pm on February 25 and 6 pm on February 26:

(a) The section of South Wall Road between Carpenter Road and Nga Tsin Wai Road;
(b) Forfar Road;
(c) Shing Tak Street; and
(d) The section of southbound Gillies Avenue North between San Lau Street and San Wai Street.

Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
