Appeal for information on abandoned baby boy (with photos)

Police are anxious to contact the next-of-kin of a baby boy who was found abandoned in Tuen Mun on March 17.

At about 7am, a 28-year-old man found a baby crying at the roadside of Lung Kwu Tan Road near Lung Kwu Sheung Tan, Tuen Mun, and reported the case to the Police. Police arrived at the scene and located the baby boy with a blue-white baby cart nearby.

The baby boy is about 6-7 months old and is 67 centimetres long and weighs about 8.77 kilograms. He was wearing a set of grey outer clothing, a brown vest, a light blue long-sleeved clothing, a white sweater, a pair of brown socks and was wrapped in a pink towel when found.

A plastic bag containing a metal bottle, a plastic milk bottle, a white handkerchief and a napkin was also found on the baby cart.

Police urge relatives of the baby boy or anyone who has information to offer to contact the District Investigation Team of Castle Peak on 2404 3552 or the Castle Peak Report Room on 2404 3513.
