Appeal for information on dead body found in Hung Hom

Police today (April 21) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Hung Hom earlier this month.

At about 11.30 pm on April 9, Police received a report that a body was found floating at the sea off Wan Hoi Street, Hung Hom. It was later believed to be a woman aged about 40 to 70.

The deceased stood about 1.67 metres to 1.77 metres and weighed about 70 to 80 kilograms. She was wearing a long-sleeved woollen jacket and a pair of cotton trousers in dark colour when discovered.

A small amount of Hong Kong dollars, a watch and one green and white coloured stone like bracelet were discovered on the body while no identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding her death.

Police urge anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact investigating officers of Patrol Sub-Unit of Marine Harbour Division on 2886 8754.
