Appeal for information on attempted robbery in Wong Tai Sin (with photo)

Police today (April 22) appealed for information on an attempted robbery occurred in Wong Tai Sin on January 14.

Police investigations revealed that at 10.05am on January 14, a man entered a bank in Lok Fu Shopping Centre alone.He pretended to be a customer and queued up to request for customer service.The man then approached one of the counters and handed a piece of paper to the counter staff with words "Robbery, with gun, want $100,000" written on it.When the counter staff handed the paper to another staff, the man thought that he was unsuccessful and fled away.

Enquiries revealed that the wanted man was aged between 30 and 40, 1.83 metres tall, medium build with short hair.He was wearing a black coat, a pair of dark-coloured trousers and carrying a rucksack at the time of the incident.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East are proceeding.
