Appeal for information on missing girl (with photo)

Police today (May 2) appealed to members of the public to provide information on the whereabouts of a girl who went missing in Tin Shui Wai yesterday (May 1).

Yam Suet-ying, aged 10, went missing after she left her mother and went to buy some drinks in Tin Chak Estate Shopping Centre at about 7 pm yesterday. Her mother made a report to the Police on the same day.

Standing about 1.2 metres, she is of thin build and weighs about 31.8 kilograms. She has a round face and long hair.

She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, a pair of short jeans and a pair of white sport shoes.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the girl or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers of the District Crime Squad of Yuen Long at 2473 8360 or officers of the Report Room at Yuen Long Police Station on 2473 8213.
