Man arrested for murder

Police this (May 10) evening arrested a 47-year-old man suspected to be in connection with a murder in which a 45-year-old man was killed on Nam On Street in Shau Kei Wan today.

The man was arrested on King's Road near Taikoo Place in North Point at about 7.30 pm today.

At about 1.30 am today, Police received a report that an injured person was found outside a public toilet in Aldrich Bay Playground, Nam On Street, Shau Kei Wan. Police officers arrived at the scene and located a 45-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground with cut wounds on his neck and chest. The man was certified dead at scene.

The arrested man is being detained for enquiries.

Investigations by District Crime Squad, Eastern are underway.
