Murder in Tseung Kwan O

Police are investigating a murder in which a 53-year-old man was found injured in Tseung Kwan O last night (July 3) and later died at hospital.

At about 10 pm on July 3, Police received a report of injured person found and later located the 53-year-old man on the podium of the fourth floor of Sheung Shun House, Sheung Tak Estate. Sustaining head injury, the man was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.37 am today (July 4).

A 48-year-old man was arrested at a unit in Sheung Shun House, Sheung Tak Estate in connection with the case.

He is still being detained for enquiries.

A post-mortem will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of the death.

District Crime Squad of Kwun Tong has taken over the case for investigation.
