Probe into open fire case in Tsim Sha Tsui

Police are investigating an open fire case in which three men were found injured at the junction of Austin Avenue and Kimberley Road early this (July 10) morning.

Shortly after 5 am, Police received a report that a man was seen shooting at the junction of Austin Road and Kimberley Road. Police officers sped to the scene and three men aged between 35 and 40 were found injured.

Among the injured persons, two men aged 35 and 40 sustaining injuries to left hand and right leg respectively were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital while the other 37-year-old man with face injury was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment.

Initial enquiries revealed that the culprit escaped by boarding on a private car. Meanwhile, police received a report at 5.20am that a private car was set on fire on Yau Ma Hom Road in Tsuen Wan and investigation is underway to see if the fire is in connection with the open fire case.

Standing about 1.79 meters and aged between 20 and 25, the culprit was last seen wearing a black cap, a dark green T-shirt and a pair of glasses in black frames.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are proceeding.
