Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

Police today (July 13) appealed to members of the public to provide information on a fatal traffic accident which occurred in Kowloon City early this morning.

At about 2am, a taxi driven by a 52-year-old man was travelling along the third lane of eastbound Argyle Street. When reaching Soares Avenue, it reportedly knocked down a 50-year-old man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.05pm.

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.

Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5200.
