Reward for detection of murder in Tsuen Wan

Police are offering a reward of $300,000 for the detection of a murder case in which a woman was killed in Tsuen Wan in December, 2004.

Shortly before 10.30 am on December 23, 2004, Police received a report that a female body was found lying near the water catchment on the hillside of Tai Lam Country Park in Tsuen Wan.

The deceased was about 25 to 40 years old and about 1.56 metres tall with long curly hair to shoulder. She was wearing a long-sleeved round neck pink jacket, a long-sleeved pink blouse, a pair of blue jeans and red sport shoes.

No identity document was found from her.

Police investigation revealed that the woman died of strangulation and the estimated time of death was sometime between December 19 and 21, 2004.

The case is still being investigated by the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan.

The reward will be paid either in full or pro-rata to any person or apportioned among persons giving information leading to the arrest and satisfactory prosecution of the culprit.

The reward is valid until January 16, 2007.
