Appeal for information on body found in Aberdeen (with photo)

Police today (August 8) appealed to the public for information on a body found in Aberdeen on August 5.

Shortly after 8.40 am on August 5, Police received a report from a security guard that a body was found inside a storeroom of Lei Tung Estate Carpark on Level 1, Phase 2 in Aberdeen. The deceased was a man aged about 50 to 60. When found, he was wearing a pair of underpants and lying on the floor and the body had been decomposed.

The deceased stood about 1.75 metres and was of fat build. A T-shirt with blue, red and white stripe, a pair of blue cotton trousers, a pair of black leather shoes, a pair of golden metal glasses and a wrist watch, believed to be the deceased's belongings were also found in the storeroom.

No identity document could be found at scene. Initial Police investigation revealed no suspicious circumstance surrounding the death.

Police urge anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact the investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-Unit of Aberdeen Division on 2870 7271.
