Fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a 32-year-old fork-lift truck driver was killed in Ngau Tau Kok early this (September 3) morning.

At about 1.10 am, the 32-year-old man parked his fork-lift truck at the junction of Wang Tung Street and Wang Kwong Road to unload goods onto the tail platform of a medium goods vehicle (MGV) stopped ahead. He then got off to push goods into the MGV. The truck reportedly skidded forward and the man was trapped between it and the tail platform of the MGV.

Sustaining serious chest injuries, the man was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.33 am.

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
