Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok

Police today (September 12) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 67-year-old man was injured in Ngau Tau Kok and died on September 11.

At about 8am on September 4, a light goods vehicle (LGV) was travelling along the second lane of northbound Ngau Tau Kok Road. When the LGV reached outside 77 Ngau Tau Kok Road, it reportedly hit a 57-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man on wheelchair, who were crossing the road.

After the impact, the injured man was sent to the United Christian Hospital and was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was certified dead at 4.15am on September 11.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
