Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

Police today (September 13) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident occurred in Mong Kok on July 19 in which an 80-year-old man was injured and later died on September 6.

At about 10.10 am on July 19, a private car was travelling along eastbound Playing Field Road. While making a right turn into Fa Yuen Street, the private car reportedly knocked down the 80-year-old man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining head injuries, the man was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment where he was certified dead at 7.14 pm on September 6.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
