Appeal for information on dead body found in Tseung Kwan O (with photo)

Police today (September 19) appealed to members of the public for information on a dead body found in Tseung Kwan O in August this year.

At about 1.30 pm on August 28, Police received a report that a human skeleton was found lying on a rocky beach behind the boat yard of a golf and country club in Tai Au Mun, Tseung Kwan O.

It was later confirmed to be a female body aged about 60 to 80. The deceased was wearing a dark blue shirt with floral pattern, a light coloured singlet, a scarf and a pearl necklace with a green stone pendant when discovered. The woman was believed to have been washed up onto the beach and have died for a few weeks.

Initial investigations revealed that there was no suspicious element surrounding her death.

Police urge anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact the investigating officers of District Investigation Team of Kwun Tong on 2709 8256.
