Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

Police today (October 6) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 74-year-old man was injured in Sau Mau Ping on October 4 and died on October 5.

At about 9.45pm on October 4, a taxi driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling along the slow lane of westbound Ngau Tau Kok Road. When it reached the junction with On Shin Road, the driver reportedly knocked down a 74-year-old man who was crossing the road.

After the impact, the man was rushed to United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.59am on October 5.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
