Special traffic arrangements in North Point

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a funeral ceremony to be held at the Hong Kong Funeral Home in North Point on November 7 (Tuesday).

The special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8.30 am until the event finishes as soon by 12.30 pm as follows:

(A) Road closure

1. A section of Java Road between Man Hong Street and Healthy Street East;

2. A section of northbound Healthy Street East between King's Road and Java Road;

3. A section of Java Road between Healthy Street East and King's Road; and

4. A section of Hoi Yu Street between Hoi Chak Street and Java Road.

(B) Traffic diversion

1. Traffic along eastbound Java Road towards King's Road will be diverted to southbound Man Hong Street and re-join eastbound King's Road;

2. Traffic along eastbound Island Eastern Corridor and enter Quarry Bay Ramp will be diverted to northbound Healthy Street East and U-turn into southbound Healthy Street to re-join eastbound and westbound King's Road;

3. Traffic along northbound Healthy Street East will be diverted to westbound King's Road;

4. Traffic along southbound Hoi Yu Street will be diverted to eastbound Choi Chak Street; and

5. Traffic along westbound Hoi Chak Street will be diverted to northbound Hoi Yu Street or U-turn back to eastbound Hoi Chak Street.

(C) Suspension of bus and green mini bus stops

All bus and green mini bus stops at eastbound King's Road between Man Hong Street and Java Road will be suspended from 8.30 am until the event finishes as soon by 12.30 pm.

(D) Suspension of parking spaces

All parking spaces at Healthy Street East opposite North Point Fire Station will be suspended between 7 am and 2 pm.

(E) Suspension of tram stops

Tram stops outside eastbound and westbound 651 King's Road will be suspended from 8.30 am until the event finishes as soon by 12.30 pm.

Any vehicle found illegally parked within the precincts of the special traffic arrangements specified above will be towed away without prior notice or will be ticketed.

Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
