Five men charged with murder and conspiracy to rob

Police today (November 19) charged two men aged 21 and 37 jointly with one count of conspiracy to rob and another three men aged between 21 and 31 jointly with one count of murder.

These five men were arrested on November 17 in connection with the robbery and murder in KCR Hung Hom Station on November 16 in which a 52-year-old man was attacked and robbed of three cartons of gold ornaments. The 52-year-old man was later certified dead at 8.25 pm on November 17.

They will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (November 20).

Meanwhile, Police arrested one more 25-year-old local man at about 1 pm this afternoon (November 19) in Sha Po Chai Tsuen, Tai Po. He, together with the remaining four arrestees, is still being detained for enquiries.
