Fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum in which a 70-year-old woman was killed this afternoon (November 27).

At about 4.50 pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling along Heung Fan Liu Street towards Tai Wai. When reaching near Mei Chi House of Mei Tin Estate, it reportedly knocked down a 70-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.26 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
