Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Aberdeen

Police today (December 5) appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 72-year-old woman was killed in Aberdeen this morning.

At about 9.10 am, a public bus driven by a 28-year-old man was travelling along Tin Wan Praya Road towards Wah Kwai Estate. Upon reaching No 9 Tin Wan Praya Road, it reportedly knocked down the 72-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where she was certified dead at 9.37 am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
