Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

Police today (January 8) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a girl was killed in Kowloon City.

At about noon, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along westbound Prince Edward Road West. It stopped near Embankment Road for alighting passengers. A 42-year-old woman and her six-year-old girl alighted the PLB. The girl reportedly fell down and was knocked down by the PLB.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the girl was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 12.30 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
