Fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which 69-year-old man was killed in Sau Mau Ping this evening (February 3).

At about 8.45 pm, a private car driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling downhill Sau Mau Ping Road towards Lam Tin. When the car reached near Hiu Kwong Street, it reportedly knocked down a 69-year-old man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injury, the man was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.07 pm.

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
