Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 68-year-old woman was injured in Mong Kok last month and was certified dead three days later.

At about 7.45am on February 24, a bus driven by a 57-year-old man was travelling along the slow lane of Mongkok Road eastbound. When it reached the junction with Portland Street, it reportedly knocked down the 68-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 9.27am on February 27.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
