Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

Police today (April 20) appealed to the public for information on a traffic accident in which an 81-year-old woman was injured in Wong Tai Sin on April 9 and died on April 12.

Shortly before 2.40 pm, when a light goods vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man was making a right turn into Tai Shing Street from the carpark of Tai Shing Street Market, it stopped to give way to an 81-year-old woman who was crossing the road. However, the woman fell down and sustained serious head injuries.

The women was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 4.20 pm on April 12.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon East is proceeding.
