Appeal for information on fatal crash in Cheung Sha Wan

Police today (April 25) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident reported on April 19 in which an 82-year-old man was killed in Cheung Sha Wan.

At about 7.10 pm that day, a light goods vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling along Shun Ning Road heading towards Caritas Medical Center. At the junction of Wing Lung Street, the vehicle reportedly knocked down the elderly man who was crossing the road.

Sustaining injuries to his head and left leg, the elderly man was rushed to the Caritas Medical Centre and later transferred to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.48 am on April 20.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
