Man charged with murder

Police today (April 28) charged a 33-year-old man with one count of murder.

The man was arrested in connection with a murder case in which a 47-year-old man was found collapsed inside a room in a rehabilitation centre at 31 Lai Chi Ling Road in Kwai Chung.

At about 4.40 am on April 26, a 41-year-old man made a report to Police that he found the 47-year-old inmate collapsed inside a room in the rehabilitation center.

The 47-year-old man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.16 am.

Further enquiries led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man yesterday (April 27) afternoon in connection with the case. He has been charged with one count of murder today.

He will appear in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts this morning.

Investigations by District Investigation Team, Kwai Tsing are underway.
