Five men charged with handling stolen goods

Police today (June 8) charged four Pakistani men and one local man aged between 27 and 57 with one count of handling stolen goods.

Following extensive investigations into intelligence collected, officers from the Organised Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) raided a depot on Ng Chow South Road in Fanling on June 6 and arrested the five defendants and a 33-year-old Napalese woman. Police investigation reveled that the arrested persons were the key members of a cross-region vehicle theft syndicate.

The 33-year-old Napalese woman has been released and bail pending further enquiry.  

The case will be brought before the Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (June 9).
