Traffic arrangements for a celebration event in Tsuen Wan on July 2

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a carnival at Sha Tsui Road Playground followed by a parade in nearby area to be started at 2 pm on July 2 (Monday).

A. Road closure

The following roads will be closed from 1.30 am until 6 pm:

(1) A section of eastbound Sha Tsui Road between Tai Chung Road and Tai Ho Road;
(2) A section of northbound Tai Ho Road between Sha Tsui Road and Castle Peak Road including the flyover leading to Tsuen Kam Interchange;
(3) A section of both bounds of Hoi Pa Street between Tai Ho Road and Heung Che Street;
(4) A section of southbound Heung Che Street between Fuk Loi Lane and Sha Tsui Road;
(5) Fuk Loi Lane;
(6) Tso Kung Street;
(7) Kai Hong Close;
(8) Kai Chi Close;
(9) Lo Tak Court;
(10) A section of southbound Tai Chung Road between Heung Che Street and Sha Tsui Road;
(11) Traffic along northbound Tai Ho Road will be banned from turning right into eastbound Sha Tsui Road; and
(12) A slip road on the near side of westbound Sha Tsui Road between Yuen Tun Circuit and Heung Shing Street leading to Heung Shing Street.

B. Suspension of parking spaces:

The following parking spaces will be suspended from 1.30 pm to 6 pm:

(1) Lo Tak Court, including the motorcycle parking spaces;
(2) Tso Kung Street;
(3) Hoi Pa Street; and
(4) Motorcycle parking spaces at Kai Hong Close.

C. Traffic diversion

The following traffic diversions will be implemented from 1.30 pm to 6 pm:

(1) Traffic along northbound Tai Ho Road will be banned from turning right into eastbound Sha Tsui Road;
(2) Traffic along northbound Tai Chung Road will be banned from turning right into eastbound Sha Tsui Road;
(3) Traffic along southbound Tai Chung Road will be banned from turning left into eastbound Sha Tsui Road;
(4) Traffic along westbound Sha Tsui Road will be banned from turning right into northbound Tai Ho Road; and
(5) Traffic along eastbound Sha Tsui Road will be banned from travelling straight forward when approaching Tai Chung Road. Vehicles should turn left into northbound Tai Chung Road or turn right into southbound Tai Chung Road.
