Special traffic arrangements for road event in Siu Sai Wan

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of a road event in Siu Sai Wan tomorrow (July 8).

A. Road closure

The following road closure will be implemented between 7 am and 9 am:
- Fu Hong Street;
- The section of Siu Sai Wan Road between Harmony Road and Sun Yip Street;
- The section of Sun Yip Street between Ka Yip Street and Siu Sai Wan Road;
- Fung Yip Street back lane;
- Sun On Street;
- A section of Fung Yip Street between On Yip Street and Sun Yip Street;
- A section of northbound Fung Yip Street between Sheung On Street and On Yip Street;
- A section of eastbound Sheung On Street between Ka Yip Street and Fung Yip Street;
- A section of eastbound On Yip Street between Fung Yip Street and Sun Yip Street; and
- A section of westbound Sheung On Street between Chai Wan Road and Fung Yip Street.

The following road closure will be implemented between 8 am and 10 am:
- The section of Cape Collinson Road between Lin Shing Road and entrance of Chinese Permanent Cemetery.

B. Traffic diversion

The following traffic diversion will be implemented between 7 am and 9 am:
- Traffic along northbound Harmony Road must turn right into eastbound Siu Sai Wan Road (North);
- Traffic along westbound Siu Sai Wan Road (North) must turn left into southbound Harmony Road;
- Traffic exiting Island Resort Public Transportation Interchange will be diverted to Harmony Road or eastbound Siu Sai wan Road;
- Traffic along eastbound Chai Wan Road for Sheung On Street will be diverted to use Sun Yip Street, On Yip Street and Fung Yip Street for Sheung On Street; and
- A section of Sheung On Street between Ka Yip Street and Chai Wan Road will be re-routed as one-way eastbound.

C. Suspension of bus stops

The bus stops at both bounds of Siu Sai Wan Road outside Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground (SSWSG) will be temporarily suspended from 7 am to 9 am. Passengers can use the bus terminus at Island Resort, about 200 metres further down of Siu Sai Wan Road.

D. Suspension of taxi stand

The taxi stand at westbound Siu Sai Wan Road opposite SSWSG will be temporarily suspended between 8 pm on July 7 and 10 am on July 8.

E. Suspension of Parking Spaces

All parking spaces at the following locations will be suspended between 8 pm on July 7 and 10 am on July 8:
- Sun Yip Street;
- Fung Yip Street;
- On Yip Street; and
- Sun On Street.

Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above may be towed away without advance notice.

Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs and instructions by Police at the scene.
