Fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 32-year-old woman was killed in Kwun Tong this morning (July 11).

At about 8.35 am, a private car driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along Pik Wan Road towards Yau Tong. Upon reaching near Tak Lung House, Tak Tin Estate, it reportedly knocked down the 32-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was rushed to United Christian Hospital where she was certified dead at 9.07 am.

Police later arrested the private car driver for drink driving and dangerous driving causing death.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East are underway.
