Fatal Traffic Accident in Lok Ma Chau

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 45-year-old man was killed in Lok Ma Chau this morning (July 27).

At about 8.38am, a container truck driven by the 45-year-old man was travelling along San Tin, Castle Peak Road towards Sheung Shui. The vehicle reportedly lost control and bumped onto a tree on the left side near a lamp post.

After the incident, the driver was found unconscious and was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.20am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, New Territories North are proceeding.
