Police appeal for fatal accident witnesses

Police are looking for witnesses of a traffic accident in which a 43-year-old man was killed in Wong Tai Sin this morning (July 30).

Shortly after 5am this morning, a 43-year-old man rode a bicycle, with his friend jogging behind, in a subway on Prince Edward Road East near Chi Mei House, Choi Hung Estate.

While reaching the downslope side of the subway, the cyclist reportedly ran into a wall inside the subway.

Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.37am on the same day.

The case will be taken over by the District Crime Squad, Wong Tai Sin District.
