Police appeal for witnesses to fatal accident

Police today (August 8) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a 73-year-old man was seriously injured on July 20 and died on August 1.

At about 11.50 am on July 20, a bus driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along the first lane of westbound Ngau Tau Kok Road towards Kowloon City. Upon approaching On Shin Road, the bus reportedly knocked down a 73-year-old man who dashed out from the pavement.

He was rushed to United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.50am on August 1.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
