Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

Police appealed to members of the public for information on a traffic accident in which a 37-year-old man died in Tsuen Wan today (August 31).

At about 13.30am, a medium good vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man was travelling inside a carpark in Tai Pei Square. When it made a right turn, it reportedly lost control and rammed into a traffic sign which fell and hit onto the 37-year-old man who was walking pass the scene.

Sustaining serious head injury, the victim was rushed to the Yan Chai Hospital and later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.11 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
