Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

Police today (September 19) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Hung Hom yesterday (September 18) in which a 12-year-old boy who was injured, later died in hospital.

About 4.40pm yesterday, a public bus being driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling south along Ma Tau Wai Road. At the junction with Ma Hang Chung Road, the bus hit the boy who was crossing the road.

The boy was taken to Queen's Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.39 last night.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are under way.
