Appeal for information about suspected abandoned girl (with photo)

Police today (November 3) are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a girl who was suspected being abandoned in Yau Ma Tei.

Police found a girl wandering at the junction of Public Square Street and Shanghai Street in Yau Ma Tei about 1.30 am today, but have been unable to confirm her identity.

The girl, estimated to be seven to eight years old, stands about 1.2 metres and weighs about 28 kilograms. She is of thin build and has a point face, small eyes and short black hair.

She was wearing a yellow blouse, black and red jacket, black trousers and white sports shoes.

Police urge relatives of the girl or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers of Divisional Support Unit of Yau Ma Tei at 2359 8252 or the Yau Ma Tei Police Station at 2359 8200.
