Motorcyclist killed on Kwai Chung Road

A 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident last (November 24) night in Kwai Chung.

The accident occurred at about 9.30 pm. A 29-year-old bus driver was traveling along the Kowloon bound slow lane of Kwai Chung Road. When the bus reached near Lai King MTR Station, it reportedly crashed into the motorcyclist, who was pushing his motorcycle along the slow lane of Kwai Chung Road.

After the impact, the motorcyclist was trapped underneath the bus. He was later rescued and sent to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 10.30 pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
