Fatal traffic accident in Chai Wan

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Chai Wan this morning (December 3) in which a man was killed.

About 6.55am, a car being driven by a 45-year-old woman was travelling along A Kung Ngam Road uphill. At the junction of Chai Wan Road, the car hit two pedestrians, a 70-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, on the pavement.

The duo, who sustained head injuries, were taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where the man was declared dead at 10.10am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are under way.
