Police appeal for information on Yuen Long traffic accident

     Police today (January 7) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Yuen Long on December 19, 2007, in which a 42-year-old male driver was seriously injured and later died in hospital.

     At about 7.45pm on December 19, 2007, a private car driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along Kam Pok Road, Yuen Long. On reaching the junction with Fairview Park Boulevard, the driver of the car lost control and rammed into a traffic light post.

     The driver sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the Pok Oi Hospital and later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital. He was certified dead at 7.20am on December 26, 2007, at Tuen Mun Hospital.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North, are proceeding.
