Police appeal for information on Chai Wan traffic accident ********************************************************* Police today (January 8) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Chai Wan on January 6 (Sunday), in which a 77-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured and later died in hospital. At about 6.43pm on that day, a taxi was travelling along King's Road, Chai Wan. On reaching outside a convenience store at No. 1036, King's Road, the taxi rammed into a male pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained head injuries and was taken to the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. He was certified dead at 4.44am on the following day at the hospital. Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Hong Kong Island, are proceeding.
