Robbery suspect arrested in Yau Ma Tei ******************************** Police yesterday (January 7) arrested a man in suspected connection with a robbery that occurred in Yau Ma Tei last month (December). On December 22, 2007, a 37-year-old woman reported to Police that she was robbed of $3,000 by a man who claimed to be a police officer at a flat in Man Ming Lane. After extensive investigation, officers of the District Crime Squad of Yau Tsim mounted an ambush operation on Temple Street yesterday and arrested a 24-year-old man suspected to be connected with the case. A subsequent search of the man found a suspected imitation revolver, a forged Police Warrant Card, a torch and a pair of plastic handcuffs in his possession. The man was arrested for alleged robbery and possession of imitation firearms. He will be detained overnight for further enquiries. Police appealed to anyone who has been robbed in the district recently but has not made a report to the Police to contact the investigating officers at 2731 7311 or report to Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station at 2721 0137.
