Fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this morning (January 9) in which a 23-year-old woman was killed.

	About 7.10am, the woman was found unconscious on the road at the junction of Shing Mun Road and Castle Peak Road.  Initial investigations revealed that she may have been hit by an unknown vehicle which then drove away after the accident.

	The woman sustained head injuries and was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.16am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are under way.

	Anyone who may have the accident involving the woman or who may have any information about the accident is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3661 1300 or 3661 1348.
